We’d like to say a big thank you to Garfield Weston Foundation who have kindly donated £45,000 over the next 3 years to support our volunteer co-ordinator and volunteers.
Volunteers are crucial to the services that we provide to older or disabled Edinburgh residents. Our volunteer handypeople help with simple DIY tasks around the home, from hanging pictures or curtain poles to setting up TVs and other digital equipment. Even something as simple as changing a light bulb can be life changing for someone who cannot do it themselves.
Our volunteers complete around 700 handyperson jobs around Edinburgh each year. We couldn’t do it without generous support such as this.
