Care & Repair Edinburgh Electrician
Care and Repair Edinburgh (CRE) have recently extended our services to include an electrician on a part time basis. We aim to deliver the highest quality for our clients, so you will be required to show enthusiasm for standards and best practice, demonstrate patience and empathy with older people and understand the impact of loneliness and isolation.
The work will be additional electrical sockets, new light fittings, installation of outside security lights, small electrical repairs – jobs that only require one person and can be done within one day. This will be reviewed once the service has grown, and we can ascertain more fully what type of work our clients require. We also currently offer supply an installation of interlinked fire alarms which will be part of the electrician’s role.

Care & Repair Edinburgh Trustee
We are now looking to recruit new Trustees with a particular range of skills and experience to support the direction of the organisation. Candidates skilled in the areas of Third Sector leadership, Diversity Championing, Social Care or Hospital Discharge would be of particular interest.
We also welcome candidates who do not have board room experience. Full induction and training will be provided.
As a Trustee Board Member, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, control and accountability of the Charity ensuring that its activities are in the interests of its beneficiaries and to ensure that the organisation complies with its governing document, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
A time commitment of around 1 day per month is required. The Board currently meets 4 times a year (February, May, August and November) in Edinburgh.
These posts are not remunerated but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
