Our small repairs service uses a qualified joiner to carry out work in your home. There is a free assessment, then a minimal labour charge plus the cost of any materials for this service.
Jobs include fitting door locks, chains and spy-holes to make you feel more secure at home.
We can also fit internal grab and hand rails, bath and shower aids as well as internal ramps for wheelchair access to make getting around your home more safe and comfortable.
We can replace pulley ropes, sash cords and window sills as well as completing small window and door repairs. We are also able to re-felt garden hut roofs.
There is some funding available to assist people who receive Pension Credit
Guarantee or support group ESA.

What does it cost?
Small repairs are charged at £35 for the first hour and £15 per half hour thereafter plus the cost of materials. We can give you quotes in advance so you won’t get a surprise. Please note we don’t charge for call outs and don’t charge travel time. On average, people pay around 50% of the cost of the work with 50% paid by our funders including City of Edinburgh Council
